I have spent time in Vermont since childhood; continously since 1972. Goddard College, 1964. U. of Chicago, Ph.D., 1982. Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist. Married, adult children.
Anxiety, Depression/Grief/Loss, Family Issues, Marital Issues, Women’s Issues, Life Issues
Depending on the client, I will use a mix of client-centered listening, focusing on the bodily felt sense, cognitive behavioral therapy and open paradox with humor. Sessions are highly interactive, homework usually given. I specialize in anxiety disorders (except PTSD), using Reid Wilson’s model of challenging arousal patterns. I can offer supervision about these methods of treatment.
I am only taking short term clients (several months to a year of work.) I would be most useful helping work through life transitions or developing skills to challenge anxiety and depression. I will do a limited number of skills sessions with someone who is in longer term treatment with another therapist.
During the pandemic all therapy is telehealth, with a secure on-line system. Hope to return to face to face in 2021. Best way to reach me is to leave a message but also send an e-mail.
