Types of therapy offered & philosophy

Therapy Style: In a safe and supportive environment I work with adults, teens, couples, and families. For many reasons people will seek therapy at some point in their lives. The events that lead to this can be disruptive and ungrounding. Therapy can offer a refuge for building understanding and skills to help cope and grow from life’s dilemmas. For more than 30 years I have worked with individuals and families around a variety of issues, including: illness and grief, relationship stress, separation and divorce, parenting (including co-parenting and step-parenting), career change and stress, caretaking of elderly and other family members, and self-esteem struggles that result from childhoods touched by neglect and/or abuse. I feel privileged to share your story and your journey with you. I work from a psychodynamic foundation, and depending on the needs of our work, will call upon several modalities, to include family systems, cognitive-behavioral, narrative, mindfulness, sensorimotor and emotionally focused therapy practices.
